In pastoral work I have sat with people who could recite whole passages of Scripture but had forgotten what it felt like to be treated gently, and with others who had never opened a Bible but somehow knew, in their bones, how to be kind. These verses are for both. They are less about becoming nicer and more about learning to see people the way God sees them, and the way He has already seen you.
