How to Help a Friend Who Is Depressed as a Christian

Watching someone you love disappear into depression is one of the loneliest places in friendship. You want to say the right thing, pray the right prayer, find the verse that will lift the fog, and none of it seems to work. Maybe you have already tried, and you are starting to wonder if you are making things worse. You are not failing them. This is simply harder than most of what friendship asks of us.
