Daily Faith Walk

Debt has a way of following you into the evening, when the house is quiet and there is nothing left to distract you from the number in your head. I have sat across from people in exactly that place, people who love God and still cannot sleep because of what they owe. These verses were not chosen to make you feel guilty, or to promise you that enough faith will make a spreadsheet balance itself. They are here because Scripture has a great deal to say about money, and most of it is more honest than what we usually hear. Slow down at the verse that catches something in you, the one that makes you exhale or makes you uncomfortable, and stay there longer than feels natural.
